I am a PhD Candidate in Organizational Behavior at London Business School and am on the 2022-2023 academic job market.
I study the inclusion and effective talent utilization of workers from lower social class backgrounds in organizations. In one stream of research, I investigate how social class background shapes individuals’ views and how these views can disadvantage workers from lower social class backgrounds. In another stream of research, I focus on interpersonal barriers to show how interactions with others can reproduce inequality.
Pinpointing these barriers is important as it informs individual and organizational actions needed to promote class inclusion, and some of my projects implement such solutions, using field experiments. My research has been published in the Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
I hold a B.E. in Electronics & Communication from PEC, Chandigarh, India. I was a Teach for India fellow from 2013-2015, and my experience there shaped my research on social class.
