My research examines how social environments shape behavior and contribute to inequality. In one stream of research, I focus on social class, examining how people’s socioeconomic environments shape how they think, behave, and are treated by others. In a second, emerging stream of research, I examine how culture shapes judgment and behavior.

I study both the sources of inequality and potential ways to address them. In my intervention-focused work, I use field experiments to test potential solutions to barriers faced by disadvantaged groups.

I am an Assistant Professor of Management at City University of Hong Kong. I received my PhD in Organizational Behavior from London Business School.
